Likelihood of detection

The evaluation numbers for the D value range from 1 to 10, whereby the number 1 is the most favorable evaluation and the number 10 accordingly represents the least favorable evaluation. Evaluation catalogs exist for the FMEA in the FMEA Handbook by AIAG and VDA. It is recommended to adapt these to suit the respective project. The D value is entered into the risk assessment and TP.
